Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been creating websites?
Dave Golden has been involved in graphic and web design
projects since the 1990's working with non-profit associations.
It was there that he learned it was more cost-effective to be
creative than to work with expensive web design firms. Golden
Helpdesk started soon afterward with a primary focus on website
design.
What kind of web services do you provide?
Golden Helpdesk provides a number of products and services available by clicking here.
What kind of websites do you design?
The majority of Golden Helpdesk’s clients come from
word-of-mouth referrals. Often they are small businesses looking
for personalized service and a web designer to work with their
budget. With low overhead, advanced technical knowledge, and
experience being a customer of a web design firm, Golden
Helpdesk is able to provide high quality results while saving
your business money.
Can we create an e-commerce (shopping cart) site?
Yes! Golden Helpdesk is always interested in “becoming part
of your business” by discounting your design fees significantly
in exchange for a percentage of online sales. Because there is a
lot more work that goes into building a site that manages the
products or services you want to sell, sites with shopping carts
will be more expensive than sites that simply provide
information on your products without the option for customers to
purchase online. Depending on your budget, we can create simple
and inexpensive tools for your customers or implement more
comprehensive services that give the customer a more
user-friendly experience with advanced tools.
How long does it take you to complete a website?
Although most websites are completed within a week or two,
it typically takes (from the time the design is approved and we
have all of the text, images and product descriptions from the
client) about thirty days to finish a site.
Do you require a signed agreement?
Golden Helpdesk will prepare a detailed proposal/service
agreement for the client. Upon finalizing the requirements, the
two parties (client and Golden Helpdesk) must sign a contract.
How much do you charge for a new website?
Each project is unique and customized to the businesses
goals, so it's not easy to give a firm number. Our fees for new
sites have ranged from a few hundred dollars to over $12,000.
The Services and Pricing page will give you more details on pricing. Like
every business man and woman, we realize the need to stretch their dollars further.
